With your Private Pilot’s Licence you are now ready to start your professional training for your ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence). Welcome to ground training!

Whichever form of Modular Ground Training you prefer, one thing is common – namely the need to take and pass the EASA Part FCL ATPL(A) Theoretical Knowledge examinations.

If you want to be professional pilot and do not have much time, now you can do it from your home.

Requirements

To have one of the following licences or ratings:

  • Private Pilot (PPL(A)) (Course duration 650 hours)
  • Commercial Pilot (CPL(A))
  • Instrument Rating (IR(A))
  • If you hold a Commercial Pilot licence CPL(A) + Instrument Rating IR(A): reduction of 350 hours. Total: 300 hours.
  • Requirements of classroom: 10% of the Course duration: 65 hours)

 

IT IS MANDATORY in order to follow the course, that the student has a computer (PC) with Internet connection, since many materials are based on multimedia material and the contact with teachers is done mainly through the website of the School or email.

 

STRUCTURE OF THE COURSE

The Modular ATPL (A) Ground School Distance Learning Course consists of 3 phases

Phase 0: Only for students holding a PPL Licence but withour pre-university studies

  1. 1. Goals: to get the necessary knowledge of mathematics, physics and aeronautical English according to EASA Part FCL before the beginning of the course.
  1. 2. Duration: the time needed by each student to obtain the required knowledge following the criteria of the Head Techer (HT).
    1. 3. Contents:
      1. MATHEMATICS AND PHYSICS
      1. VISUAL AERONAUTICAL ENGLISH (CBT)
      2. AEROENGLISH
        1. AERONAUTICAL ENGLISH (CBT)
        2. New ICAO English requirements

It is necessary to pass oral and written examinations.

 

Other phases

  • Goals: to get the necessary knowledge according to the requirements described in the DIARY according to JAR-OPS Subpart J.
  • Contents: described with detail in the DIARY.
  • It is necessary to pass oral and written examinations.

Introduction

In addition to the requirements of JAR -FCL concerning the duration in hours of the course, with the reductions described for CPL(A), IR(A), CPL/IR(A), and since this course is taught at the ATO Panamedia in Castilian/English (understanding level), it should be noted that, throughout the course, the student will be required to study the subjects in both languages. Therefore, all the hours reflected in the diary will be increased in accordance with this requirement and, in the various assessments, questions will be asked, in Castilian and English to ensure that the training of students, in all subjects, is carried out in both languages.

Tutoring

Each student can contact his tutor by phone during the established schedule or via e-mail at any desired moment and to check Panamedia Website to solve questions related to the course. A record of the inquiries from students and their progress is kept.

Examinations

Our examinations help to check the progress of the students and to ensure that the quality of the teaching is at the level required by our Quality Manual. Distance examinations can be oral or written, according to the criteria of the tutor, and will always begin with the personal identification of the student in order to validate the exam. Classroom examinations are written.

Learning materials

Este curso se apoya principalmente en material didáctico específico para garantizar un alto nivel de comprensión por parte del alumno. Así mismo, se recomienda que el alumno consulte regularmente páginas web informativas sobre temas específicos ayudándose de los principales buscadores de la red (google.com, yahoo.com, etc.).

This course is based mainly on specific educational material to ensure a high level of understanding by the student. It is also recommended that the student regularly refer informative websites on specific topics of major search engines helping network like Google, Yahoo, etc.
